Forever Darkness - Ashes of Eris: Dark Lilith 1

There was one member of Eris's inner circle who was always a mystery to me. She would come and go as she pleased, sometimes for over a century or more. I heard rumors about who she really is, the most popular described her as the last living Aldmer. She used to be a former priestess of Auriel, and was heralded as one of the most beautiful of all the Mer. I can attest that the rumors of her beauty are true, for everything about her is flawless and nearly perfect. She clearly wasn't a vampire like Eris or myself, but she was also immortal, which was the main reason she was rumored to be Aldmer. I've only served Eris since the Second Era, but I've heard that she has been by the Lady's side since the beginning when Molag Bal first corrupted her sister, Lamae. Eris never commanded her, and instead, seemed to respect her console and treated her...like a mother.

One day, the strange woman approached me. I had seen her twice over the last two hundred years, and this was now the third. She greeted me in a friendly matter, and called herself Lilith. Her speech was soft and gentle, but it was her eyes that entranced me. Her eyes glowed with a breathtaking violet hue, a color that one expected from a Dark Elf. She held out her hand as she smiled, an emotion rarely seen amongst my people. I immediately took her hand and kissed it as I bent down on my knees like it was a reflex. It was a strange feeling, almost like when Eris spoke to my mind and demanded the same...but this woman commanded my will with just her gaze and smile! Once she removed her hand, I stood back up, and her lips moved, but no words came from her mouth.

Suddenly, my hand was gripping my dagger, and I had raised it to my neck. Lilith stood there, still smiling, speaking more words that made no sounds as panic and fear tried to push the dagger back. This only made Lilith's smile grow wider as she saw me fighting my own hand and a dagger that was now drawing blood. Then, she spoke one more silent word, and my arm fell to my side with the dagger being thrown to the ground. I collapsed on my knees, trying to regain my composure as she bowed and then stepped away.

It was then that I knew. The same power that allowed Eris to command all vampires was also present in this woman. But it was different somehow...more pure...and much more dangerous. The only question that remained was who was more powerful...her, or Lady Eris?
